Whether rafting down a river, hiking in the mountains, or conducting a simulated vertical rescue, our certified and trained staff works with every student to help each one feel the pride of being part of a successful and adventurous group. This individual attention is one of the reasons we attract many teenagers who have never had camping experience. Nawa's approach is simple. We teach in small steps so everyone masters each skill before the group moves ahead. Academic instructors provide a hands-on education for each student, allowing them to work in an environment free of the traditional confines of classrooms.

We focus on group activities that foster character building, leadership development, communication skills, responsibility and cohesive living. The blend of academics and outdoor adventure creates an experience unlike any other. Galileo summed it up well when he said, "You cannot teach a person anything; you can only help him find it within himself."
